      <image:caption>My interest in the insurance industry ignited from a 2 years stint with an insurance brokerage firm servicing a stream of High Net Worth individuals. I was bedazzled by the jumbo life insurance amounts they were applying for. It ranged from as little as USD 5 million to as much as USD 100 million. I wondered why these individuals with such illustrious net worth still required this much coverage. I later came to learn that such jumbo life insurance played a pivotal role in hedging against business loans, upholding the family's standard of living in the event of an untimely demise of the life assured &amp; to also ensure minimal business disruption &amp; continuity. This risk transfer mechanism paired with diverse wealth accumulation tools ensure that the family's wealth perpetuates across generations &amp; resonates with the statement that "Wealth begets wealth &amp; the rich gets richer". In my 10 years stint with Great Eastern, I am of the sentiment that most of us are under-covered &amp; under-accumulating. The majority are not maximising protection &amp; financial planning. Through my work, I hope to cement the importance of risk transfer &amp; wealth accumulation.
